About
This is a hobby project made by PonyM. It first started with an online calendar for the free summer festivals in Zürich, finding concerts in places such as Zürich unbezahlbar and the various festival pages, adding them to a Nextcloud calendar and sharing it as an ical-link with friends.
In early 2024 after I found Stadtkonzerte.ch as the - and they say it themselves - most up-to-date source for concert information. The way the website was done made it easy for me to collect all the gigs in a nicely readable format and in late 2024 decided it would be nice to build more advanced filtering on top of it, notifications for my favorite artists like on Songkick.com or know what friends are up to in terms of gigging. When asking my friends, a lot of them actually liked the idea. This is how the idea of this website was born.
I started the project on Dec. 17th and the site was ready to onboard the first users Jan. 20th, at the time of writing this.

ical Attachments in Artist Alert Email

Public Jam Sessions

Tech-Stack
- Django - Python Web Framework (almost took fastapi)
- Django Ninja, adapted to render HTML by default using a custom renderer
- HTMX.js for nicer user experience
- Bootstrap CSS-Framework (I hate it, and it will be changed)

- Sentry.io for error monitoring so I can fix it
